I’m confused. Today Donald Trump announced that he will buy Ed McMahon’s house to save it from foreclosure and will lease it to him. So, Ed can’t afford the mortgage, but he can afford to pay rent? I don’t pretend to know much of anything about real-estate, but this doesn’t add up. I don’t get why people buy million dollar homes just to pay a mortgage. If I had a few million dollars, I would pay for my house upfront and just worry about property taxes, and I wouldn’t buy a million dollar house that I wouldn’t be able to pay for a few years down the road! What the fuck? And if Donald Trump really wanted to save the day, why didn’t he just buy the damn house and let the man live there? I don’t see the good gesture.

You know what’s starting to piss me off with celebrities? The pregnancies! I’m not against procreation. Hell, I don’t have time and I’m not sure I have the desire to occupy my uterus with a baby, maybe when I’m ready and a little more accomplished in life, I’ll adopt… maybe. Having said that, it’s NOT the wanting to have babies that bothers me. It’s the time frame. What the fuck? You wanna speak to the UN about AIDS, travel to impoverished countries with a high rate of HIV/AIDS and talk about the epidemic, but you’ve been in your new relationship for 2 months and your knocked up? Hello, did ya even use a condom? I mean, I have an advantage point, I’ve been in the field of sexual health and HIV education since college. Every professional job I’ve ever had was in the field, so I understand window periods, testing, the difference between HIV 1 and HIV 2 etc. I know that getting tested on Tuesday and getting my results Wednesday isn’t a full glimpse of my overall sexual health. I know that HIV has a window period and it can take 3 to 6 months to become infected, etc. But what I expect is for all of you assholes in lala land to know this, too! You have the best access to the best health care and education in the world! I know you didn’t set out to be a role model, but you are and having a boyfriend or girlfriend and getting knocked up after 3 months is ridiculous!!!! You’re sending a message to other people that shit can’t happen to you, and it so can. USE A DAMN CONDOM! Screw like rabbits, and have 18 kids. But seriously, use protection until you’re sure of and you and your partner’s status. Don’t be a hypocrite. Those countries lack the resources and education that you do. Take advantage of being able to access and afford education and rubbers. You can even spray them on for convenience.

OK, China, the Olympics are getting out of control. I defended your right to eat and serve dog while you hosted the Olympics, but seriously, what the hell is going on? We suspect fraud with your “women’s” gymnastics teams, you made, in your opinion, a less pretty girl step aside, so a prettier girl could steal her thunder during the opening ceremonies, you digitally altered the fire works during the opening ceremonies and to top it off, atourist was killed and his wife was injured. Who knew the dog eating would be the least controversial part of this? As far as the women’s gymnastics go, true our American 16 year old girls all look like 20 something slutty has-beens, but those girls are not 16! And there is no excuse for the psycho that went crazy and killed that man. Come on, China, get it together!!!

So many reasons why I’d rather be hit with a broom, instead of jumping one…Again.

I don’t know how you do it. I’ve been married, and cheated on, and quite frankly, the last thing I would have done is defend the bastard. I hope you threw your best China at him, made him buy you more,gave him the silent treatment, and made him stick to a strict no p—y diet. I know a little about finding out about the other woman, and I wasn’t lucky enough to have a full confession from my ex. I had to find out another way. I feel your pain, Elizabeth, and I hope that you have many more years on this earth to forgive and experience true happiness, even if it’s with the man who humiliated and betrayed you. You see, we here at RichieLeigh are not opposed to people having different partners in non-committed or OPEN relationship. But we are against assholes who cheat or their wives and possible fathered a child when they are in remission, just to find out that the cancer’s back and incurable, weeks after finding out you cheated! Officials in Hollywood are trying to figure out what can be done about the out of control paparazzi. Here’s my solution. You know the same guy you keep finding perched atop your weeping willow in your backyard? Well, hire someone to follow him around. Follow him to the grocery store, follow him to doctor’s appointments, interviews, funerals, weddings, baby showers, etc. Stalk him as much as he stalks you. Interrupt every important moment in his life. Now, I don’t know how possible that would be, but it’s worth a try. He’s never gonna stop inconveniencing your life, and you’re never gonna leave show business, so maybe this can be a great compromise. But, that’s just my opinion.

Dear Lunatic,

In this day in age it’s rare to see images of men being great role models to their children, especially black men. On television, in movies and even on the news, we’re bombarded with images of neglectful and mostly irresponsible men. So, when a man like 50 Cent is pleading to see his child, spend time with his child and shows genuine concern about his whereabouts, it makes me angry at you. That child is lucky to have a father that is able to care for him emotionally and financially, and your bat shit crazy, semi extortionist ways are pissing me off. So, Lunatic, I hope that you’ll up your normals, and realize that your son is lucky to have a father that many children dream of having. Whatever issues are going on between you adults, shouldn’t impact the relationship your son has with his parents, yeah, that’s right, including his father.

Fall is approaching, and this time of year I’m usually excited about the start of football season, but this year I am more excited about the upcoming trial of Josef Fritzl . If you don’t remember Fritzl, let me jog your memory. He’s the idiot who locked his daughter in an underground bunker for 24 years and forced her to have 7 of his children. His trial is approaching and he’s facing a possible murder charge, for disposing of the dead body of one of the children, slavery charges and few other charges. I will do a happy dance this September, because I am hoping the Austrian authorities and jury will convict this bastard so he can spend the rest of his life locked up. He’s kinda up there in age, so I doubt he’ll live 24 years… but it would be so fitting.

Random act of violence

Yesterday, I read an article about a random act of violence that took place in Canada. A young male that authorities believe was between the ages of 18-20 was murdered on a Greyhound bus. He was sleeping, with headphones on, when the person next to him stabbed him to death and then decapitated him. I became physically ill when I was reading the article. I don’t know what kind of sick human being would do that to someone. He was caught, and no matter what his punishment is, he’ll never suffer like that young kid did. No one deserves to die that way.

This political season was heated. No matter who you support, we encourage you to go out and vote. Remember, you can’t complain about the system, if you aren’t willing to participate in the system. Even after a heated political battle between Obama and Clinton, I still didn’t expect it to go this far. Ludacris, who in my opinion is a talented artist, released a song in support of Obama. OK, fine. But the lyrics are truly heartbreaking to me. There is a line in which he refers to Hillary Clinton as an irrelevant bitch. What? Irrelevant? There is nothing irrelevant about that woman. She’s smart, tough and in my opinion one of the most intelligent women on the planet. And then there is a line about it’s time for black people to vote. It’s time for EVERYONE to get involved and vote. You even found a way to insult John McCain. Now, I’m no fan of McCain, and wouldn’t support him if my life depended on it, but hell, the man was a war hero, and deserves some respect. Can we stop making this about age, race and gender and focus on the thousands with HIV that are unable to afford health care? Can we focus on the millions who live in poverty? Can we focus on those who can’t afford their mortgages, rent and tuition? Can we focus on the brave men and women who are far more courageous than I am because they are willing to sacrifice their lives for this bullshit war. This song is absolutely ridiculous and offensive. I just don’t understand why MOST people don’t understand, that you don’t have to HATE one candidate or disrespect them, just to support another. This petty divisive bullshit needs to end, NOW. Ludacris, today you managed to live up to your name. You are indeed a Ludicrous individual.

I believe Thailand may be the first to have a bathroom for transgendered children. In a way it makes me happy that they acknowledged the needs of these children, but in a way I would think it would only make them feel some kinda way about having to use segregated bathrooms. Doesn’t it highlight the difference? And shouldn’t the goal be to make them feel comfortable while their presenting as a specific gender? So, if you’re a trans-girl, shouldn’t you be allowed to use the girls bathroom? Some kids seem to be happy, so I’m happy for them. At least Thailand doesn’t have their head in the sand and are willing to acknowledge these issues. More than I can say for us most times. Read it, and let me know what you think.

I’m not a parent and at this point in my life I’m still not sure if I want to be. It’s a huge responsibility, and I’m a little too busy and selfish. Besides, my student loans own my life, and I don’t think I could say to a judge “Well, AES student loans wanted their money, and the kid ate last week so I don’t see what the big deal is. I’ll feed him next week”. Yeah, that won’t go over that well. My point is, why have kids when you aren’t ready to be a parent? Yes, shit happens. Contraception fails, sometimes goes unused, or other shit happens. I get that. But, if I see one more parent NOT parenting their child I think I’ll go insane. And then I’ll need to start taking normals (meds) When your child is running around a store, breaking things and knocking things over, maybe that’s a good time to get off the cell phone and tend to your child. When your child is insulting the older woman on the train over and over again, maybe it’s a good time for you to stop texting your Boo and tend to your child. When your child empties an entire bag of goldfish snacks on my lap, maybe it’s time to stop being self-involved and discipline your child. But you don’t. You wait until after he has irked the hell out of everyone else and begins irk the hell out of you and then you yell or hit him. Now, don’t get me wrong my mother popped me once or twice. I was a whole lot to deal with as a child and deserved every pop. But, I got the point and learned my boundaries. I think every child should have a healthy fear of their parents. If we don’t, we won’t learn to anticipate consequences and learn from our mistakes. I don’t want to be annoyed by your children. They are YOURS. I realize children are necessary evils, but damn, I am tired of spoiled, bad, rotten, annoying kids. And it isn’t their fault, it’s yours.

A new meaning to the term “Wasting Away”

I don’t know if any of you are familiar with the story about the woman that was stuck to a toilet seat for several months. Her boyfriend complained to authorities that she had refused to come out of the bathroom for 2 years, and when they arrived, she was stuck to the seat. And no one is quite sure about the amount of time she spent on the toilet. Apparently, she’d been on the toilet for so long that her skin had grown around the seat. Yeah, it’s a true story. Well, today her boyfriend was finally sentenced to 6 months probation and I’m not happy about that. I don’t know the circumstances or history of their relationship or mental stability, but common sense did not kick in. Even if she had been stuck on the toilet for more than a few hours, that alone should have warranted a phone call to the police or fire department. That’s just not normal. I mean, I have so many questions. Was she scared? Where did he go when he had to potty? Why didn’t she want help? Was she being abused? I am just so fascinated by this story. He says she didn’t wanna come out of the bathroom. Now, I can understand giving her a few hours to vent or whatever, but 2 years? He waited 2 whole years before calling someone? I was hoping he would have been in jail for as long as she was on that seat. Seems like the fair thing to do. Right?

When my parents split, I couldn’t help but be happy. I was like, hell if you aren’t happy together, be happy apart. I know most kids don’t feel that way about their parents. I’m hoping that the children of Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen feel that way one day. I feel so bad for their kids. They have a bat shit crazy mother. Denise likes to joke and label herself a bitch and a husband stealer… well, you are, idiot. OK, so you may not have been the nail in the Richie and Heather marital coffin, but hell, you sure dug the grave and dropped the casket. It’s not complicated Denise, she was STILL married to her husband. That’s right, her husband. And as for that pathetic train wreck you call a show, it needs a new title. It isn’t complicated. It’s as transparent as a workin’ lady in a brothel. We all know it’s about money. Hey, I’m all for making money anyway you can. I won’t judge that. If you notice the ads on this site, that would be a clear indicator that I’m about making money. However, I am not for dragging your kids through the mud just for a buck. Charlie used to be a drug addicted and notorious whore, and anytime he’s the sane parent among the two of you, your children are in trouble. We, at RL are on Team Charlie. You, Denise need to up your normals (meds). They’re not workin’ for ya.

I was raised on BBC comedy shows. Before the internet and BBC America, I watched them on PBS. Keeping Up Appearances, Waiting For God and Are you being served are a few of my favorites. My absolute favorite was the original “The Office”. I was kind of shocked that we stole that show. It took me a few seasons to embrace it. And if Ricky Gervais hadn’t done some of the producing and writing, it probably would have flopped. It took a few seasons, but now, it’s one of my favorite American shows. But now, we’ve gone to far. Although this new bastardized show isn’t British, it’s Australian, it’s still one of the funniest shows ever. It’s Kath & Kim. We’ve gone and put our American spin on it, and it will star, Molly Shannon. I’m not sure I’m willing to give this a chance. I just don’t think it will translate well. I mean, we in America, are kinda used to young underachieving children returning home and disrupting their parent’s lives. That’s just my opinion, but I suggest that before any of you out there watch the new Kath & Kim, set to debut this fall, check out the original. You can see clips or order the DVDs at www.KathandKim.com. And occasionally BBC America and The Sundance Channel will do marathons. Check your local listings, judge for yourself.
